Expressions of interest are being called for members for the CTC Accreditation Committee

Expressions of interest are being called for clinical radiologists who have current accreditation as a CT Colonography Specialist.

The aim of the CT Colonography Accreditation Committee is to formulate and review guidelines for training in CT Colonography and recognise post-fellowship training in CT Colonography undertaken by radiologists in Australia and New Zealand.

The objectives below will be followed irrespective of any constraints, either real or perceived, imposed by external factors (e.g., government health funding arrangements, corporatisation of radiology practices, demographics):

  • In consultation with ARGANZ, formulate and regularly review RANZCR requirements for practice in CT Colonography (the RANZCR CTC requirements).
  • Formulate and regularly review a policy setting out rules for the consistent assessment by the committee of applications for recognition of training against the RANZCR CTC requirements, which include an associated appeals process.
  • Receive and assess applications for recognition of training in CT Colonography against the RANZCR CTC requirements according to this assessment policy.
  • Certify applicants for the satisfactory completion of such training by radiologists in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Maintain a register of certified CTC radiologists who have met and continue to meet any ongoing competency requirements as determined in the RANZCR CTC requirements.
  • Identify resources required to support radiologists in achieving such training and meeting associated ongoing certification requirements, and, where approved by the College Council, develop and oversee the provision of such resources to radiologists in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Provide advice to the Standards of Practice and Accreditation Committee and College Council as required from time to time in relation to certification of training in and the practice standards for CT Colonography.

  • Two radiologist committee members.

Commitment

  • Meetings held from time to time.

Content commitment

  • All CTC applications are assessed by two committee members, on average a maximum of six applications per month.

Eligibility

  • Current member of RANZCR
  • Current accreditation as a CT Colonography Specialist
  • Minimum registration as a CT Colonography Specialist of five years.
